By seeing the arising questions and doubts, issues over AI in the aviation industry nst.agency has joined forces with UK and Polish navigation and aviation businesses and industry leaders to work and provide a framework to build solutions that can support the futuristic expectations of the European Aviation Standard Agency along with European Space Agency.
The New Science Technology HUB ( nst.hub ) is a place where civil aviation will rest it’s worries over how to ensure data can be safely managed thus certified, stored and recognized with a clear and robust system of decision making and evidenced based proofing. Therefore nst.agency aims to deliver the complete roadmap of solution based on the experts knowlege and research by end of 2024.
We aim to assure transparency and fairness in all aspects of AI use in the aviation industry and therefore establish a public trust for the AI-based systems within aviation personnel, whole industry sector related staff as well as in the general public. We even want to support the same principles to the Space flights and navigation based program.
Our goal is to address these key questions and beyond reaching the targets of human liberation:
- How to establish the public trust in AI-based systems;
- How to integrate the ethical dimension of AI (transparency, non-discrimination, fairness, etc.) in safety certification processes;
- How to prepare the certification of AI systems; and,
- What standards, protocols and methods do we need to develop to ensure that AI will further improve the current level of safety of air transport?
- Reducing the use of human resources for tasks a machine can do, thus allowing [humans] to better concentrate on high added-value tasks,
- Placing humans at the center of complex decision processes, supported by the machine,
- Addressing the impact of human performance limitations.
We believe there are no limits for humans, we just need to give them the right and trusted tools to unleash their unique potential
